You've shared some...I really enjoyed this post. You've shared some issues and frustrations that I have dealt with as a teacher as well. It can be SO frustrating when a student who seemed to be progressing well hits a wall and you have to hit rewind and go back and find where the connection didn't happen. <br /><br />As I've gained more experience as a teacher, I rely more and more heavily on review- finding creative ways to teach the same ideas over and over (or even let the student play teacher sometimes)- so that I can make sure that the concepts have been internalized.<br /><br />I love all your creative ideas for making real internalized learning happen.
